this was a huge first for me. i got together with Maree a fantastic photographer from Tauranga and together, using gorgeous vintage wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses from New Bohemian we took these shots in Cornwall park in Auckland.
i will admit i was super nervous having never been part of any sort of fashion shoot before. but i had a tonne of fun. the best part was working alongside another photographer who was using exactly the same equipment as me and I really did learn alot…….
i will go out on a limb here and say the photography industry can be a very lonely place to work in. it is highly competitive, especially in somewhere as small as new zealand. but reaching out and getting in touch with other photographers has been the best piece of wonderful advice i have ever received – kindly given to me by the lovely Emma Case.
so, i am planning more. i am reaching out more with other photographers who have a similar style to mine – and stepping outside of my comfort zone more and more. its the only way to learn really. chuch yourself in at the deep end and come up gasping and laughing…………….a huge thank to our lovely models and an even huger one to the lovely maree.
and last, but by no means least….thank to my beautiful sister in law…..thank you for the dutch courage….and for all the encouragement you gift me…..and for being just so darn gorgeous!
